Midwest Internet to Offer Toshiba Hot Spots
Toshiba and Midwest Internet Proliferate the Convenience of Wireless
Internet Access to the Mobile Public
Indianapolis - Making it easier to stay connected, Midwest Internet, Inc. (www.mw.net) today announced that they will begin to deploy the Wireless Broadband Hotspot solution from Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG) in the Indianapolis area. Known as "hotspots," the wireless broadband solution expands the convenience of wireless Internet access to customers patronizing restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, etc.
Designed for use at popular public locations, Toshiba's unrivaled hotspot solution allows customers with Wi-Fi enabled notebooks, tablet PCs or PDAs to connect with local Internet access points - or "hot spots" - to maintain business or personal productivity while on the go. Toshiba and Midwest Internet offer business owners a turn-key solution to address the wireless connectivity demands of mobile-hungry customers.
"Toshiba offers the best hotspot solution for businesses wishing to provide Wi-Fi access to its patrons in public areas," said Leo Doyle, President of Midwest Internet. "Toshiba's solution which includes prepaid cards as well as an on-line over the air payment method, makes it easy for hotspot users to get online with minimum of effort."
The Toshiba Wireless Broadband Hotspot solution makes it convenient for people who are traveling, or just moving around town, to quickly and effortlessly access email, surf the Web, watch streaming video or download multimedia presentations. With its low cost of entry, the Toshiba wireless offering provides location owners with an affordable way to drive traffic to their business by appealing to the growing number of mobile workers.
"Wireless connectivity in public venues enables new ways to conduct business," said Oscar Koenders, vice president of product marketing and worldwide product planning, Toshiba CSG. "We're committed to proliferating the number of access points across the country, and are pleased to be working with Midwest Internet to extend this easy-to-use technology to business owners who can then offer an 'always-available' connection to their patrons."
